Description: |
|
Rescheduled from the snowy February 21st, this program offers the basics of maple syrup production on a small scale. We will go over tree identification, selection, drilling, tapping, collection and boiling. The equipment used will be low tech and inexpensive and include examples of past, present and future sap collection techniques.
Afterward you should feel comfortable tapping trees in your own yard for a treat.

Description: |

Learn how to find your way around in the
great outdoors with the “Garmin Etrex Legend” GPS (or bring your
own unit). The skills learned are handy for hunters, hikers,
anglers and for geocaching. Only 20 GPS units are available so
sign up early!
