Cost: free! Come learn the basics of maple syrup production on a small scale with naturalist Kathy Dice. We will go over tree identification, selection, drilling, tapping, collection and boiling. The equipment used will be low tech and inexpensive and include examples of past, present and future sap collection techniques. Afterward you should feel comfortable tapping trees in your own yard for a treat. No pre-registration is required for this free program.
