Morning Sun Summer Rec

 

Date: Children entering grades 1 – 3: July 7 – 11, Older Children: July 14 - 18

Time: 10:00 PM - Noon each day (see note below)

Location: Morning Sun City Park, Morning Sun, Iowa

Cost: Free

Pre-registration: Signed registration form must be completed the first day Summer Rec is attended.

Note: Friday, July 18 – Summer Rec Fieldtrip for older kids. 9:00 AM – Noon

 Summer Rec is a free program open to all children entering first grade and up.  Children will play at “Survivor” style games, work in groups, solve problems, and play games such as “Trail the Popcorn Fiend” and “Melt the Glacier”. Each day the children will be given fun challenges to complete and play group games such as “Blob”, “Dragon” and “Everybody’s It”. Older kids will also learn outdoor skills such as fire building and how to use GPS units.

Summer Rec is organized and run by the Louisa County Conservation Board with funding from the Morning Sun City Council.
